Shrimp and prawns are both types of seafood, but they are from different groups of crustaceans. Both are similar in taste and texture, but prawns are typically larger and have a slightly sweeter flavor. In terms of cooking, they can be prepared in a similar way, such as grilling, sautéing, or frying. However, the size difference may affect cooking time. In some regions, “shrimp” and “prawn” are used interchangeably, but in others, there are specific species that are referred to as either shrimp or prawns.
